Axel Disasi to Tottenham transfer latest as 'big' Chelsea deal condition confirmed
Tottenham are considering a late January move for Axel Disasi, but could be priced out as Chelsea want a 'big' loan fee for the out-of-favour defender.
The 26-year-old has struggled for regular game time under Enzo Maresca this season - featuring just six times in the Premier League, with four of them coming from the start. Disasi has been a more prominent figure in cup competitions, having started in each of their eight Conference League matches, two Carabao Cup fixtures and the FA Cup win over Morecambe at the start of last month.
But with Disasi not part of Maresca's first-choice defensive plans, he could leave before the end of the transfer window. Aston Villa and Wolves registered an interest in signing the Frenchman last week and it was reported that Disasi was considering his options ahead of Monday's 11pm deadline.

Now, The Guardian claim that Tottenham want Disasi. Ange Postecoglou is keen to strengthen at the back after losing several key players.
Radu Dragusin was the latest to pick up an injury during the 3-0 win over Elfsborg on Thursday, joining Cristian Romero on the sidelines. Meanwhile, Micky van de Ven was left out of the Tottenham squad to face Brentford, despite only returning against Elfsporg.
Although Tottenham bolstered their squad with the loan signing of Kevin Danso from Lens on Sunday, they are keen to add more defensive reinforcements. And Disasi has been identified as someone that can bolster that back line for the remainder of the season.
Chelsea, however, are demanding a significant loan fee to let Disasi, who is on a reported £80,000 per-week, leave the club this month. That could stop or prevent any departure from Stamford Bridge for Disasi.
Disasi, who joined the Blues from Monaco for £40million in summer 2023, was an established member of the Chelsea starting XI under Mauricio Pochettino last season. However, Maresca's arrival from Leicester has seen him drop down the pecking order. A move could happen in the last 36 hours of the window.
