Ballard lands Premier League 2 Player of the Month award on Saints return

STRIKER Dom Ballard has kicked off 2025 in style, earning the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for January.

The 19 year old made two appearances as Saints remained unbeaten in three league matches, contributing four goals and two assists.

Ballard marked his return from a loan spell at Blackpool with a stunning hat-trick in a 5-0 victory over Fulham.

He followed that up with a goal and two assists in a 4-2 win against Newcastle before heading back out on loan to Cambridge United.

A Saints statement said: "Everyone at the club congratulates Dom on his achievement and looks forward to tracking his progress in senior football for the rest of the season."
