Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is reportedly interested in one of the big future openings in the 2025 NFL coaching cycle.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero shared on Monday evening that Johnson is intrigued by the idea of coaching the Chicago Bears.

"He is intrigued by the Bears job, and he is going to listen [to the team]," Pelissero said about Johnson's openness to landing in Chicago.

After the Detroit offensive coordinator flexed his chops for the Chicago crowd on Sunday, it's easy to understand why the Bears might be interested in prying Johnson away from the Lions and having him lead their resurgence.

It's also not hard to see how interest would be mutual. Perhaps Johnson likes the idea of being able to call an offense for a talented quarterback like Caleb Williams?

This pairing makes a ton of sense, as Johnson and Williams could terrorize opposing NFL defenses for years to come if everything goes according to plan.

We'll see if this comes to fruition whenever Johnson is open to take another NFL job, which will be after the Lions' season ends.
