Benjamin Sesko's agent shares update amid Arsenal and Man United transfer links

Benjamin Sesko scores during the Bundesliga match between 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 and RB Leipzig.

Manchester United's long-standing interest in Arsenal transfer target Benjamin Sesko could be reignited after the player's representative was spotted at the Old Trafford

The forward has been on United's radar for some time, with MEN Sport revealing back in July 2022 that discussions had occurred between the club and Sesko's agent, Elvis Basanovic. At that time, Sesko was plying his trade at Red Bull Salzburg before making the switch to RB Leipzig last summer.

His performances continue to turn heads, drawing parallels to Manchester City's goal machine Erling Haaland, whom he succeeded at Salzburg following Haaland's departure to Borussia Dortmund. This season, the 20 year old sensation has found the net 17 times across 41 matches in all competitions, currently boasting a streak of goals in six consecutive Bundesliga fixtures.

While Arsenal have earmarked Sesko as a target for the summer transfer window, a recent social media post by Basanovic might suggest that Manchester United are still in the frame. He took to Instagram to share an image of himself at Old Trafford during Sunday's Premier League showdown with Arsenal, captioning it: "Just ordinary day in Premier League office."

The agent, has been spotted at the stadium on multiple occasions this season. He was seen during the match against Liverpool in April and at United in January.

Basanovic was also present at Stamford Bridge for the Premier League face-off between Chelsea and United last month. He was however also spotted at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium earlier this season, observing the game between the Gunners and Chelsea last month.

Sesko reportedly has a release clause of €50 million (£42.7m) in his contract with RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga club is said to be already looking for potential replacements due to the interest shown in the striker.
