All eyes will be on the capital on Wednesday evening when Tottenham and Arsenal go head-to-head in the second North London Derby of the season. Ange Postecoglou has yet to register a win over the Gunners since becoming Spurs boss in the summer of 2023 and he will be determined to put that right at the Emirates Stadium.

Spurs cannot afford another defeat in the league as they go into the game 12th in the table, four points adrift of Brighton & Hove Albion in 10th. Arsenal, on the other hand, are second in the standings but they have endured a nightmare week after suffering cup defeats against Newcastle United and Manchester United.

So how exactly will Tottenham line up against their fierce rivals on Wednesday evening? Here are the Tottenham teams our Spurs writers would select for the North London Derby...

A few players had to play the full two hours against Tamworth but most didn't. Spurs also did less running as they had so much of the ball and now we know that Arsenal had a number of key players involved across the full 120 minutes against Manchester United.

That means Ange Postecoglou shouldn't be further compromised in picking from the few available players. I wouldn't expect anything too far from the team that started the game against Liverpool but perhaps with Pape Matar Sarr replacing the concussed Rodrigo Bentancur.

James Maddison is a useful option off the bench as is Brennan Johnson. Antonin Kinsky got another experience of the English game with the Tamworth set pieces and hopefully that will help him get even sharper after a month without football before his debut against Liverpool.

Gold's team: Kinsky; Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence; Sarr, Bissouma, Bergvall; Kulusevski, Solanke, Son.

It will be more of the same when it comes to the Tottenham team Ange Postecoglou selects for the North London Derby. Once again, the head coach has limited options to choose from and that leaves him with a very simple decision to make in terms of who starts in goal and in defence.

The biggest decision facing Postecoglou probably comes in the middle of the park as he has options there despite missing Rodrigo Bentancur. Yves Bissouma will be a certain starter after two strong performances, with Pape Matar Sarr also likely to get the nod even after a poor showing at Tamworth at the weekend.

That leaves a call to make between Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison for the final spot in midfield. The Swede may be the one who wins the race to start and that means Maddison will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Dejan Kulusevski starts in the front three again, joining Dominic Solanke and Son Heung-min in attack.

Guest's team: Kinsky; Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence; Bissouma, Sarr, Bergvall; Kulusevski, Solanke, Son.
