Birmingham City have been a remarkable 98.5% chance of winning promotion after only strengthening their position towards the top of the League One table with a win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night. Keshi Anderson's second half stunner extended Blues' unbeaten run to 16 matches, as they took advantage of Wrexham's slip-up.

The Red Dragons were defeated by Stevenage on home soil, meaning that Blues are now eight points clear of the Welsh outfit while also still having two league matches in hand on their rivals. Wycombe Wanderers split the two clubs - they won again on Tuesday as they look to keep pace with Blues.

They're two points behind Blues, who they visit on the 1st of March, but they too have played two matches more. Blues were overwhelming favourites to secure promotion straight back to the Championship before a ball was kicked, but there is a feeling that this round of results could prove significant in how the final table shapes up.

With bookmakers Betfred, they consider Blues to have a staggering 98.5% chance of promotion from here after making them 1/66 to win promotion in any form this season. They're 1/50, meanwhile, to finish in the top two come the end of the season. Betfred aren't even offering odds on Blues anymore for a top six finish, such a guarantee it is now considered.

Meanwhile, they're 1/16 to clinch the League One title from hereon out, having lost just two matches all season and not at all at St Andrew's. Blues, who head to Stevenage in the EFL Trophy next week, are 7/4 favourites to win that competition at Wembley by season's end, too.
