Birmingham City manager Chris Davies has been snubbed for the fourth time
Chris Davies has missed out on the League One manager of the month award for a fourth time.
Birmingham City enjoyed another unbeaten month in the league and recorded an impressive 1-0 victory away to promotion rivals Huddersfield Town. Blues have now extended their lead at the top over Wycombe Wanderers and have an eight-point cushion to third-placed Wrexham, with two games in hand.
But 11 points from a possible 15 wasn’t enough for Davies to be crowned manager of the month. Richie Wellens instead claimed the prize for the second successive month after his Leyton Orient side won four of their five games.

Orient beat Bristol Rovers, Shrewsbury, Reading and Exeter to climb into the play-off places having been embroiled in the battle at the bottom a couple of months ago.
Davies has now missed out on the award four times. He was pipped to it in August by Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson and Blackpool boss Steve Bruce beat him to it in September in a month where Blues won all of their league games. Wellens has beaten Davies to the award in December and January.
Blues started February with a win over Rotherham to put Davies on course for another nomination. The judging panel comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
