Birmingham City's game against Lincoln City is set to go ahead despite the wintry conditions enveloping the country this weekend - but the club have urged supporters attending today's midday kick off at St Andrew's to take extra care on their voyage to the ground.

Blues welcome League One rivals Lincoln for an FA Cup meeting, having already knocked out Sutton United and Blackpool in the opening rounds of the competition, and the two sides will do battle at the unusal time of 12pm in testing conditions.

Around Birmingham there is currently heavy fog which'll hopefully lift in time for kick off in order to improve the visibility of all concerned, but while plenty of matches - especially in the non-league - have already fallen to the frosty weather this weekend, Blues' game is set to go ahead.

That's in no small part down to the efforts of the staff at ground level at St Andrew's who have ensured that the conditions on the surface remain playable, as Blues' marathon season across four separate competitions continues. Supporters, though, must remain vigilant on their journey to B9.

"Ahead of today's game, we would like to praise the hard work of our ground staff for getting the pitch in a playable state," Blues said. "Credit also goes to the stadium team for making the surrounding areas safe for all supporters. However, please do take extra care when entering the ground today."
