Blackburn 'excited' for Elland Road challenge amid Leeds United quality verdict
Blackburn Rovers will be 'ready' for the challenge of facing Leeds United this afternoon, as manager John Eustace looks to record their third consecutive win over the Whites.
The Rovers boss is full of admiration for Daniel Farke's side, who kick off 2025 in top spot in the Championship table and with automatic promotion firmly in their sights. However, following 1-0 wins for Blackburn in their last two encounters with Leeds, Eustace is relishing the challenge of going toe-to-toe with what he considers to be the 'top team in the division'.
Leeds come into the game full of confidence following a six-match unbeaten run and with clean sheets in their last three games, while Rovers suffered a 1-0 home defeat to struggling Hull City on Sunday. However, that has not dampended Eustace's appetite for the challenge.

“I know the boys will be ready, they’ll be competitive and we’re looking forward to the challenge,” Eustace said. “They’re doing very well, especially at home, and we know it’s going to be a very difficult game.
“It’ll be a fantastic atmosphere and let’s be excited to be going there because we’re fifth in the league. They’re top of the league and we’re going up against the top team in the division, so it’s one that everyone connected with the club should be excited by.
“This group of players that we have, nothing phases them and we’ll be prepared whether we’re at home or going away. The group we have are so honest, they’re great to work with and they take all the messages on board. We know it’s going to be a very difficult challenge, but it’s one we’re looking forward to."
