Blackburn Rovers predicted team vs Wolves with potential debuts for new signings
John Eustace could hand debuts to three Blackburn Rovers players as they host Wolves in The FA Cup.
Rovers were rewarded with a Premier League home tie after defeating Middlesbrough in the last round. The Molineux side have their attentions firmly fixed on top-flight survival but will still bring a wealth of quality to Ewood Park.
Eustace went strong with his team selection in the last round and he will likely do so again. He has Yuri Ribeiro, Emmanuel Dennis and Cauley Woodrow all available for selection for the first time.
The trio all played for the Under-21s in midweek and, alongside Augustus Kargbo, are competing for their first starts. Dion Sanderson is the only January arrival who can't feature as he's cup-tied.
With that in mind, it's likely to be Danny Batth and Dom Hyam at centre-back in front of Balazs Toth. Joe Rankin-Costello will be at right-back whilst Ribero might give Owen Beck a well-earned break.
Lewis Travis and John Buckley will continue in the engine room. The skipper could be rested but Rovers will need his drive and energy against Premier League talent.
Amario Cozier-Duberry could play on the right, with Todd Cantwell returning in the number 10 role. Augustus Kargbo would give the team some pace in attack from the left and might get the nod.
Up front, Dennis and Woodrow might not be ready for starts and so Makhtar Gueye could lead the line once again.
Predicted Rovers team: Toth; Rankin-Costello, Batth, Hyam, Ribeiro; Travis, Buckley; Cozier-Duberry, Cantwell, Kargbo; Gueye.
