Blues on loan: Edmundson has a tough afternoon while Baggott nears a return
Ross Halls takes look at how Ipswich Town players got on for their loan clubs this weekend....
ELKAN BAGGOTT
The defender wasn't in action for Blackpool as they were held to a goalless draw with Stevenage in League One.
Baggott has had an injury hit spell at the Seasiders with an ankle problem initially sidelining him for a couple of months. A thigh problem has since been the reason for his absence, but his manager Steve Bruce has confirmed he is back in training.
He could be pushing to be involved over the festive period. He's been limited to just four appearances in all competitions this term.
The Tangerines return to action when they travel to Wrexham on Boxing Day.
MARCUS HARNESS
The attacker featured for Derby County as they lost 2-1 at Luton Town in the second tier.
Harness came on as a 84th minute for Paul Warne's side, who took the lead via former Town forward Kayden Jackson just before the hour mark, but conceded two late goals to suffer their tenth defeat of the season.
The Rams will look to bounce back when they host West Brom on Boxing Day.
GEORGE EDMUNDSON
The defender featured for Middlesbrough as they drew 3-3 with Plymouth Argyle in the Championship.
Edmundson started and was booked for Michael Carrick's side before he was subbed off in the 79th minute in what sounds like a tough afternoon for him.
Boro remain in the final play-off spot and return to action when they host Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.
CAMERON HUMPHREYS
The midfielder featured for Wycombe Wanderers as they were held to a goalless draw with Bolton Wanderers at Adams Park in League One.
Humphreys played the full 90 minutes for Matt Bloomfield's side, who made it 18 league games unbeaten but failed to score for the first time in 25 league games.
The Chairboys stayed top of the third tier and return to action when they travel to Stevenage on Boxing Day.
FINLEY BARBROOK
The young midfielder featured for Sutton United as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Tamworth in the National League.
Barbrook played the full 90 minutes and was booked for Steve Morison's side, who are now without a league win in three games.
The U's will look to bounce back when they travel to Barnet on Boxing Day.
LEON AYINDE
The Irishman wasn't in action for Rochdale as their home clash with Boston United in the fifth tier was postponed.
Ayinde recently returned from the hamstring injury which left him sidelined for over two months and will look to kick on over the festive period.
The Dale will return to action when they host AFC Fylde on Boxing Day.
HARRY BARBROOK
The full-back featured for Lowestoft Town as they drew 1-1 with St Ives Town in the Southern League Premier Central.
Andy Reynolds' side have won just once in their last six league games and sit just above the relegation zone.
The Trawler Boys return to action when they travel to Leiston on Boxing Day.
OSMAN FOYO AND WOODY WILLIAMSON
The duo weren't involved for Chelmsford City as they played out a stalemate at home with Weymouth in the National League South.
Robbie Simpson's side kept their first clean sheet since September, but have won just once in their last eight league games. They sit 16th in the sixth tier.
The Clarets return to action when they travel to face Welling United on Boxing Day.
NICO VALENTINE
The youngster wasn't in action for Needham Market as they were beaten 1-0 at home by Darlington in the National League North.
Valentine is still working his way back from a hamstring injury he suffered in October for Kevin Horlock's side, who have now lost 13 of their 22 league games.
The Marketmen sit second bottom of the sixth tier and return to action when they travel to King's Lynn Town on Boxing Day.
CHARLIE BINNS
The young goalkeeper wasn't in action for Bishop's Stortford as they lost 2-1 at home to Leiston in the Southern League Premier Central.
Binns is out of action with a broken finger after suffering the injury last month and will be unavailable for Steve Castle's side until the new year.
The Blues will look to return to winning ways when they travel to AFC Sudbury on Boxing Day.
EX-BLUES CORNER
Kieffer Moore scored twice for Championship leaders Sheffield United as they won 2-0 at Cardiff City. The forward has five goals to his name this season so far.
Conor Hourihane has retired from football with immediate effect to become Barnsley assistant head coach. He returned to Oakwell in the summer as a player-coach, but had not played for the League One club since August.
Armando Dobra scored for Chesterfield as they beat AFC Wimbledon 1-0 at home to make it four wins in a row for Paul Cook's men in League Two.
David McGoldrick was among the scorers for Notts County as they beat Bradford City 3-0 at home in the fourth tier.
