Blues on loan: Humphreys provides two assists and Foyo nets winner

MARCUS HARNESS

The attacker featured for Derby County as they beat West Brom 2-1 at Pride Park in the Championship.

Harness played the full 90 minutes for Paul Warne's side. Former Town forward Kayden Jackson helped double the advantage in the 67th minute as he forced an own goal from Mason Holgate.

The Rams secured their seventh league win of the season and return to action when they host Leeds United on Sunday.

GEORGE EDMUNDSON

The defender didn't feature for Middlesbrough as they threw away a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Sheffield Wednesday in the second tier.

Edmundson wasn't in Michael Carrick's matchday squad due to a knock, making this the first game he has missed since signing on loan in the summer.

Boro have now dropped out of the final play-off spot and return to action when they host Burnley on Sunday.

 

 

CAMERON HUMPHREYS

The midfielder featured and provided two assists for Wycombe Wanderers as they won 3-0 at Stevenage in League One.

Humphreys set up Richard Kone for the opening goal when he played in the in-form forward, who smashed home for Matt Bloomfield's side, before crossing the ball over to Beryly Lubala, who headed home Wycombe's third.

The Chairboys are now 19 league games unbeaten, but drop to second in the third tier after Birmingham leapfrogged them. They return to action when travel to Charlton Athletic on Sunday.

ELKAN BAGGOTT 

The defender wasn't in action for Blackpool as they were beaten 2-1 at Wrexham in the third tier.

Baggott has had an injury hit spell for Steve Bruce's side, missing a large part of the season due to two separate injuries.

The Tangerines return to action when they travel to Birmingham City on Sunday.

FINLEY BARBROOK

The young midfielder featured for Sutton United as they drew 3-3 with National League leaders Barnet at The Hive.

Barbrook played the full 90 minutes for Steve Morison's side, who are now without a league win in four games. This was their final game of 2024.

The U's are 12th in the table, five points off the play-offs and return to action when they host Aldershot Town on New Year's Day.

 

 

OSMAN FOYO AND WOODY WILLIAMSON

Foyo netted a 85th minute winner for Chelmsford City as they won 1-0 at Welling United in the National League South.

The forward notched his 11th league goal of the season for the Clarets when he poked into the net from close-range. Williamson wasn't involved for Robbie Simpson's side.

This game marked the final game of 2024 for the Essex side, with them due to return to action on New Year’s Day at home to Aveley.

LEON AYINDE

The Irishman featured for Rochdale as they came from behind to win 3-1 at AFC Fylde in the fifth tier.

Ayinde came on as a 69th minute sub for Jimmy McNulty's side to make his first league appearance since October, having recently returned from the hamstring injury which left him sidelined for over two months.

The Dale made it back-to-back wins as they sit sixth in the table. They return to action when they host Altrincham at the start of 2025.

HARRY BARBROOK 

The full-back featured for Lowestoft Town as they were beaten 7-2 at Leiston in a Suffolk derby in the Southern League Premier Central.

Andy Reynolds' side have now dropped into the relegation zone after just one win in their last seven games in the league.

The Trawler Boys will look to bounce back in their final game of 2024 when they host Barwell tomorrow.

NICO VALENTINE

The youngster wasn't in action for Needham Market as they drew 3-3 with King's Lynn Town in the National League North.

Valentine is still working his way back from a hamstring injury he suffered in October for Kevin Horlock's side, who are now without a win in their last four games.

The Marketmen return to action when host Peterborough Sports on New Year's Day.

CHARLIE BINNS

The young goalkeeper wasn't in action for Bishop's Stortford as they won 2-1 at AFC Sudbury in the Southern League Premier Central.

Binns is out of action with a broken finger but is close to returning for Steve Castle's side, who secured their first win in three games.

The Blues now sit 14th in the table and return to action when they host Redditch United tomorrow.

 

 

EX-BLUES CORNER

Louie Barry has returned to his parent club Aston Villa after they exercised the option to recall him from his loan spell at Stockport County. He netted 14 times in 21 League One appearances this campaign. He could be set for a move to the Championship in January.

Luke Garbutt opened the scoring for Salford City as they beat Barrow 3-0 at home in League Two.

Gwion Edwards scored his first goal of the season for Morecambe as they won 1-0 at fellow League Two strugglers Carlisle United.

Jack Lankester netted his fifth goal of the season for Crewe Alexandra as they lost 2-1 at Cheltenham Town in the fourth tier.

George Fowler opened the scoring for Maidstone United as they won 3-1 at Tonbridge Angels in the National League South.
