Bobby Clark shared a lonely-looking picture of himself ahead of potentially leaving Red Bull Salzburg on deadline day. Clark, 19, moved to Salzburg from Liverpool for a $12million fee last summer but is already being linked with a move away from the Austrian outfit.

The midfielder has appeared 20 times for his new club but has completed 90 minutes on just two occasions in the league, and is attracting interest from clubs in the Championship.

Clark uploaded a picture of himself cutting a lonely figure on a soccer pitch after he was omitted from a Salzburg matchday squad for the first time over the weekend. Salzburg was in action against LASK in the Austrian Cup on Sunday but Clark did not figure amid speculation over his future.

Salzburg's sports director Rouven Schroder left the door open for Clark to leave the club last week as he admitted every player has a price. He told Krone Zeitung: "Players who got less playing time in the autumn are now looking to get a new chance. We feel and see that the group has a lot of potential.

"Every day we think about the squad and how good individual players are. Basically, we look at all positions very closely. No player is indispensable. But in the end, we examine the entire market and find out."

Swansea is named by the BBC as one of a handful of Championship clubs that are interested in signing Clark, with any deal likely to be a loan until the end of the season. The Welsh club is said to be keen to sign a forward-thinking midfield player, and Clark is viewed as somebody who fits the bill.
