Manchester United have already been sent a verdict about Marcus Rashford amid links of a potential exit from the club.

Rashford's future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks, with those rumours increasing since the January transfer window opened. The 27-year-old has not featured in any of United's last six matches after not being selected by head coach Ruben Amorim.

Rashford missed United's draw with Liverpool last week due to illness. Before that, the England international was an unused substitute against Newcastle having not being part of the previous four matchday squads.

Recent days have seen Rashford heavily linked with a move away from United. Sky Sports reported that Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Juventus are interested in signing Rashford on loan for the second half of the season, with his agent apparently travelling to Italy for talks with Milan.

Dortmund are one of the clubs apparently interested in signing Rashford, and one of the players at the Bundesliga club has previously spoke very highly of the United star. Marcel Sabitzer spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Old Trafford from Bayern Munich, but completed a permanent move to Dortmund soon after his temporary stint at United came to an end.

Sabitzer gave an interview where he was asked about Rashford, who scored 30 goals for United during the 2022/23 campaign. This form did not go unnoticed by Sabitzer, who also praised the character of his now-former teammate.

"He [Marcus] is a great guy, a great player and he's helping us a lot at the moment," Sabitzer told MUTV back in February 2023.

Sabitzer was also asked about how he was enjoying life at United. Despite going on to not sign a permanent deal with the Reds, the Austria international explained why he felt a strong connection to the club.

"It's a loan and that's all I can say [about that] at the moment," said Sabitzer in the same interview, almost two years ago.

"What I can say is I'm feeling very good here, I like the team, I like the club, I like the atmosphere at Old Trafford... so we will see what happens in the summer."
