Boss delivers transfer update on £2.5m Stoke City-linked striker
Bristol City manager Liam Manning has confirmed he is having discussions about whether to let striker Fally Mayulu leave amid reports of interest from Stoke City.
Mayulu has been left out of Manning's last two squads, for games against Coventry and Sheffield Wednesday, while Manning has admitted there has been no injury.
The 22-year-old forward had made the move to Ashton Gate in the summer from Rapid Vienna for a fee that could rise to about £2.5m and The Mirror has claimed that Stoke are coming in with a similar offer to take him away this month. His game time has become increasingly limited as the season has gone on and BristolLive reports that Stoke will face competition - and that, as of last night, "no offer of that valuation has been made."

Manning, when asked if any movement was expected before the weekend, said: "No, not at the minute to be honest. I know there are bits out there about Fally at the minute.
"There is interest in him, it's a discussion in-house about what's best for the club and him. It also shows the competition that we've got in the group that we're travelling here with Marcus [McGuane], there's no [Cam] Pringy, no Fally, no [Harry] Corns. When you look at it, we've got some good options behind us.
"It all depends on the options. It's probably not all on what I'd want and what's in front of us, what's best for the club, what's best for Fally, what's best for the team here. They're obviously the conversations that will happen behind the scenes. He's got interest and we'll have to see what happens."
Stoke are in the market for a centre-forward after Tom Cannon was recalled from loan by Leicester. Stoke, in turn, recalled Nathan Lowe from Walsall. There is interest from League One in Niall Ennis, who started last night's 3-1 defeat at Portsmouth. Stoke have also been linked with Liverpool youngster Jayden Danns and Ipswich fringe man Ali Al-Hamadi.
Stoke are also missing Sam Gallagher, who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
