Enes Unal’s stunning free-kick earned Bournemouth a 1-1 draw against West Ham.

The Hammers broke the deadlock when Lucas Paqueta, back in the starting line-up after a couple of games on the bench, successfully converted a late penalty for what looked the winner in an entertaining Premier League clash at the Vitality Stadium on Monday night.

The controversial incident came about when VAR intervened to spot Bournemouth substitute Tyler Adams had handled Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross in the area and a spot-kick was awarded after referee Chris Kavanagh was sent to the monitor.

Paqueta stepped up in the 87th minute to convert from the spot to give his side the lead and score his third goal of the campaign. However, the lead did not last long.

In fact, within three minutes the home side were level as Unal, from long range, fired in a stunning free-kick that left goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, who was West Ham’s best player on the night, with no chance in between the posts.

The result sees Bournemouth move up to sixth in the Premier League table just three points off the Champions League places, while West Ham stay 14th but are now seven points clear of the relegation zone.
