Dillian Whyte is putting the final preparations on his heavyweight showdown with Ebenezer Tetteh on Sunday evening, with hopes of working his way back to a world title shot.
The 36-year-old Briton kicked off his boxing career with a points victory over Michael Matuszewski way back in 2011, going on to embark on a 16-fight unbeaten streak before suffering his first professional loss to Anthony Joshua four years later. Fast forward to 2024, and Whyte holds a record of 30-3 and is ready to prove himself on the world stage with hopes of clinching divisional glory in the form of a title.
While the 'Villain' won interim WBC gold by beating Alexander Povetkin in a 2021 rematch, he was unfortunately unable to unify his belt the following year when he faced Tyson Fury at Wembley, losing via a sixth-round TKO. Whyte bounced back to winning ways with a majority decision win over Jermaine Franklin just months later, but found his career put on pause while her was investigated over a positive drugs test in August 2023 in the lead-up to a rematch with Joshua.

Dillian Whyte: "He's got a good ranking, got a good record - he's only lost to Dubois but Dubois beat AJ in five rounds. So if you put it into perspective, he's doing alright. He's had a couple of wins since then, which means he's serious, and he wants to get back to winning ways. And he knows if he beats me, his career is changing - he goes from making hundreds to millions. It's a dangerous fight, so I've very motivated. I'm looking forward to the fight."
Ebenezer Tetteh: "I'm watching Dillian Whyte, he's a good fighter. I'm also a good fighter. I'd like everyone here to know that I'm here to fight, and I'm not going to roll over."
