Hull City have tied up a deal to sign playmaker Lincoln Henrique from Turkish giants Fenerbahce on an initial loan until the end of the Championship season.

Tigers owner Acun Ilicali, who is vice president at the Istanbul-based club, has brokered a deal with the Brazilian to join City's fight to stay in the Championship.

Talks with Lincoln have been ongoing for a number of days after he was told he would not feature in Jose Mourinho's setup at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium despite having a contract until the summer of 2026, and after discussions with his family, the Porto-Alegre-born left-sided attacker has agreed to join City, and will undergo a medical on Friday, though he is not expected to feature on Saturday at Millwall.

The €4m-rated forward has recently spent time on loan at Red Bull Bragantino in his homeland. The 26-year-old notched three goals and two assists in 28 games before returning to Istanbul last month, but has been told he has no immediate future with Fenerbahce. Bragantino opted against triggering their buyout option to sign Lincoln in €6m during last season's mid-season transfer window.

Lincoln has notched 282 career appearances, scoring 25 goals and clocking up 39 assists, and he represented Brazil at the Under-17 level earlier in his career.

City's latest arrival joined the Turkish outfit in July 2022 when he signed from Portuguese outfit Santa Clara but has since posted a goodbye message to the fanatical Fenerbahce support.

“It was great to be back in Istanbul and to feel the love of the fans all the time. I came back with the intention of experiencing this feeling on the pitch, but not everything in life is the way we want it to be. I feel at peace and with the feeling that better things will happen where I will be valued…. Thank you to all the fans, you will always be in my heart and in the heart of my family,” he wrote on social media.

Lincoln is the fifth player to arrive from Fenerbahce since Ilicali took control of the Tigers three years ago, following Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, Dimitrios Pelkas, Ozan Tufan and current striker Joao Pedro.
