Brereton Diaz pictured at Bramall Lane ahead of Sheffield United return
SAINTS forward Ben Brereton Diaz appears to have been pictured at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane ahead of an expected return to the club.
Brereton Diaz, 25, only signed for Saints in a £7million permanent deal six months ago but looks set to exit St Mary's, at least on a temporary basis.
The Chilean international has been strongly linked with a loan move to former club Sheffield United, where he spent the second half of last season.
Brereton Diaz scored six Premier League goals for the Blades on loan from Villarreal but was unable to help them avoid relegation to the Championship.
Saints have been negotiating with Sheffield United over Brereton Diaz's potential move since the January transfer window opened.
On social media site X, user @oscarsufc shared a video which appears to show him seated ahead of their league clash with Norwich City.

Local press in Yorkshire had reported that Brereton Diaz would be in attendance with Sheffield United closing on confirmation of the transfer.
Brereton Diaz was reportedly their top target and it remains unclear whether an option to sign him permanently will be included in the deal.
He has been named in new manager Ivan Juric's squad once, where he remained an unused substitute in the 5-0 defeat at home to Brentford.
His last Premier League start was at the end of September and he has not made any appearance in the league since the start of December.
