Here's how we rated the Cardiff City players in the 2-1 win against Watford at Vicarage Road.

Jak Alnwick 7

Was rarely troubled, really. Came out to punch and claim a few decent crosses. Pretty solid outing.

Andy Rinomhota 9

Played like a man possessed. Man-marked Giorgi Chakvetadze to within an inch of his life at times. Another top outing from the midfielder-turned-right-back.

Jesper Daland 8

Back in the side and acquitted himself well enough. Dealt with some dangerous crosses. Needed him late on.

Dimitrios Goutas 7

Much like his defensive partner above, really. Sign up to our daily Cardiff City newsletter here.

Calum Chambers 8

Actually pushed up into a No.6 role at the base of midfield and did well, generally. Mopped up some loose balls and kept things simple. Did brilliantly in a new position.

Callum O'Dowda 7

Assisted Robinson for his first and then had to defend pretty rigidly due to it being a back four. Made a goal-saving tackle on Festy Ebosele late on. Did well again.

Manolis Siopis 9

His type of game and arguably his best in a City shirt. Broke up play, won cheap fouls and didn't try anything too ridiculous when in possession.

Alex Robertson 7

Kept things neat and tidy and the play ticking along, without doing anything spectacular.

Cian Ashford 8

Work rate was fantastic and gave Yasser Larouci nightmares in the first half. Showed tremendous composure to feed Robinson for his second. His best outing yet. Goal and an assist in his last two games.

Callum Robinson 9 (star man)

Makes such a difference when he plays. Cardiff's most deadly striker bar none. On eight for the season after his double today. His first was a real peach.

Chris Willock 8

Was City's creator-in-chief once again. His ball in behind for Ashford ahead of Robinson's second was fantastic. Starting to look really dangerous.

Subs

Ollie Tanner (Willock 65) 7 - Had one stinging shot saved by Daniel Bachmann. Defended well late on.

Joel Bagan (Chambers 74) 7 - Stepped into midfield after replacing Chambers and did a decent job there.

Rubin Colwill (O'Dowda 88) NA

Yakou Meite (Ashford 88) NA
