Max O'Leary - 6

Huge save to deny Rayan Ait-Nouri in the opening exchanges. The City stopper couldn't do an awful lot to prevent either of the away side's first-half goals and stood up well to stop them from extending their lead further.

Luke McNally - 6

Arguably City's most reliable defender now. Got stuck in as he always does and produced a couple of important tackles. Perhaps could have offered Haydon Roberts more support in the opening exchanges but for the most part, marshalled the backline well.

Zak Vyner - 5

Having looked so solid on the left of the back three over the festive period, the 27-year-old didn't look anywhere near as comfortable in the middle of the defence. Got caught out of position a few too many times and didn't offer the same calm presence on the ball that Rob Dickie has done recently.

George Tanner - 5

Restored to the starting line-up on the right of the back three and didn't have his best afternoon. Seemed to be caught out particularly in the first half when Wolves broke forward at pace.

Haydon Roberts - 5

Found it incredibly tough in the opening exchanges as Wolves repeatedly got the better of him down the left flank and while he remained slightly shaky, he did a lot of good things down his side. Needed to be better to keep the away side at bay early on though. A mixed afternoon.

Jason Knight (off for Max Bird, 65') - 6

The City skipper wasn't afforded the rest that he may have wanted or needed and while he was his usual combative self, he didn't quite manage to impact the game in possession as much as he often does. Still kept the Reds ticking against tough opposition, but not quite as effective as he had been.

Marcus McGuane (off for George Earthy, 68') - 5

Back in the team in place of Max Bird and although he didn't produce the defence-splitting passes the former Derby County man did, he put himself about in the middle of the park. Did start slowly however and City will be hoping his injury isn't anything severe.

Ross McCrorie - 6

Was it a perfect showing from the Scotland international? No, but he gave Manning's side a constant outlet on the right wing and helped Tanner out when the Robins didn't have the ball.

Anis Mehmeti (off for Yu Hirakawa) - 6

The Albanian international was City's outlet for much of the game and while he found himself in good areas, he wasn't able to show the cutting edge in the box that fans have come to expect. Sloppy in the opposition box before he was replaced.

Scott Twine - 7

That man again. His free-kick at the end of the first half was excellent and on a tough day for the Robins, he was a bright spark as he constantly tried to play forward. Faded slightly as the game wore on but almost everything good Manning's side did came through him. His work out of possession has also improved massively and he could have forced extra time late on.

Fally Mayulu (off for Nahki Wells, 77') - 5.5

Mayulu was given another chance to impress from the off and it was a familiar story. The Frenchman showed flashes of just what he can do, but let himself down with a few loose touches and scrappy bits of hold-up play. He didn't have loads to work with given Wolves' dominance and the reaction to his substitution felt a little unfair.

Substitutes:

Yu Hirakawa - 6

Brought some energy to the frontline but wasn't able to carve out any real chances of note with his pace.

Max Bird - 6

Added a bit of quality in the middle of the park and while he showcased his range of passing, a few of his set-pieces left a bit to be desired.

George Earthy - 6

Nahki Wells - N/A
