Bristol City prospect joins Cheltenham Town Women
Cheltenham Town Women have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Amelie Curtis on a dual registration from Bristol City.
The 17-year-old has represented Wales at the Under-19 Euro round one qualifiers during November and was also named Bristol City Women’s Under-16 player of the season during the 2022/23 season.
Curtis joins the club at a crucial time in their season as they look to secure their place in the Southern Premier Division.

“I’m excited to be part of the club,” Curtis admitted. “It’s a massive step in my development. I’m looking forward to playing in a new environment and getting new experiences at this level.”
Tom Davies’ side currently sit eighth in the league, four points above the relegation zone.
They defeated Billericay Town 3-0 at Kayte Lane on Sunday, with Curtis going on from the bench.
On getting the opportunity to play in tier three at 17, Curtis said: “It’s massively exciting at my age. It gives me lots of new opportunities to develop and learn from experienced players like Em (Emily Owen) and Ffion (Llewellyn).”
Curtis started playing football at school at the age of eight and admits she’s played in every position on the pitch. “Eventually, I settled and decided centre-mid would be the best position for me.
“To the fans, I’d say that I’m aggressive on the pitch. I like to drive forward and create opportunities and do anything I can to help win games."
