Bruna faces lay-off and Symonds banned as Albion visit Villa in FA Cup
Bruna is facing a lay-off as Albion head into Adobe Women's FA Cup action.
Head coach Dario Vidosic said she will be out for “a couple of months” after limping out of the recent win over Durham.
The forward on loan from Barcelona is among the absentees for the fifth-round tie with Aston Villa at Walsall on Saturday.
Maisie Symonds begins a three-match ban after the red card in the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.
Vidosic considered asking for an appeal but said: “When there is contact it is usually very hard to overturn it so, with the club, I left it to them.
“I thought maybe there could be room for some appeal.
“There is no doubt Maisie made contact but it probably felt a little bit like a harsh red.
“I think Bruna will be out for a couple of months.
“We will see be without here for the foreseeable future.”
Other than Symonds’ absence, Vidosic expects to have the same squad as for the Palace game.
He said: “We will have a bit more of a look today.
“We have got a couple who are out for the weekend and a couple who are not ready just yet.”
Vidosic is expecting a big test from Villa and believes the fact they recently appointed a new boss in Natalia Arroyo adds to the challenge.
He said: “They will probably work on some things this week so we will have adjust within the game.
“I expect there will be a few little tweaks.”
