Bukayo Saka fires new Arsenal message as injury plan confirmed in huge Mikel Arteta boost
Bukayo Saka has responded to Arsenal's Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb, which confirmed their spot in the last-16 that he will be hoping to play a part in. The Gunners winger has already missed a month of action due to a hamstring injury, with it likely he misses another six weeks at least.
Though his absence is a major blow to Arsenal's Premier League title hopes, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard have all thus far chipped in with goals. Gabriel Jesus was also doing similarly until a significant knee injury ruled him out of action.
Ethan Nwaneri also suffered a minor problem earlier this month just after Raheem Sterling returned from his own issue. Given the injuries that have occurred in recent weeks, it is no surprise Arteta is keen on bringing in a new body in that area of the pitch.

Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko have been the two names strongly linked to a January switch, though the latter leaving RB Leipzig this month is currently hard to foresee. As for Cunha, his future at Wolves continues to be uncertain, with Nottingham Forest also interested in a move for the Brazil international.
There is hope Saka can still play a key role during the business end of the season but Arteta has reiterated he will still miss the next seven games at least. "That's not going to change," he said when asked if he could be back before March. "It's within the process and the time that he had. That's gone now.
"He's doing better day by day, but we have to respect the process." With Arsenal expected to travel out to Dubai in mid-February with no fixture on their calendar for a 10-day period and Saka will almost certainly be part of the travelling contingent.
That break could prove decisive for the England international with it arriving because of the 3-0 win against Zagreb and Saka was clearly very pleased at that outcome. On Instagram, he reposted Arsenal's pre-match graphic and captioned it with three shooting star emojis.
While Saka was at Emirates Stadium for the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa, it is unclear if the Arsenal man was at Wednesday evening's game, but even if he was not, it is clear to see that he enjoyed the display from his teammates.
