Bukayo Saka mocks Arsenal transfer fee with brilliant four-word comment
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has mocked the money given to West Ham United for Declan Rice after his man-of-the-match performance against AFC Bournemouth.
Rice was in incredible form in the lunchtime kick-off as he set up Leandro Trossard's goal and bagged one for himself. However, it was his all-round performance both offensively and defensively that had so many fans purring.
Chants of 'Declan Rice, we got him half price,' rung around the Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime and with performances like that one, it is hard to argue with them. One man who was also in agreement with the supporters was Saka, who praised his teammate on social media.
After Rice posted on Instagram: "Good day at the office," Saka responded: "He’s only half price," accompanied with a musical note emoji. The Gunners were locked in a transfer battle with Manchester City in the summer for Rice.
Pep Guardiola was keen to sign the England international but was unwilling to spend over West Ham's £100m+ asking price. However, Mikel Arteta was more than willing to open the chequebook and bring the 25-year-old in for £105m.
Since his move to North London, Rice has been ever-present in the Arsenal midfield making 49 appearances for the club. During that time, the central midfielder has scored seven goals and grabbed ten assists.

It is expected that Rice will be a key component of England's midfield three this summer when they travel to the European Championships. Gareth Southgate's men begin their campaign in Germany on Sunday, June 16 against Serbia.
