Bukayo Saka showed his support for his Arsenal teammates after their triumph over Manchester City.

Sunday evening saw the Gunners record a 5-1 win over City in the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium. Martin Odegaard opened the scoring in the first half before Erling Haaland equalised for the visitors after the interval.

It didn't take long for Arsenal to respond, though, with Thomas Partey restoring the host's lead a mere minute after Haaland's equaliser. The Gunners then scored three more second-half goals from Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Havertz and Ethan Nwaneri to record a memorable win over their title rivals.

Saka was not involved in the matchday squad as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury he suffered back in December. The England international is not expected to return from the injury until later in the season but was still in attendance at the Emirates to support his teammates.

After the full-time whistle, Sky Sports' coverage showed Saka on the touchline, ready to greet his colleagues after they beat City. Saka was spotted greeting Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhaes and David Raya as they made their way off the pitch and down the tunnel at the Emirates.

Victory for Arsenal saw them restore the six-point gap between themselves and leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table, with the Merseyside club also having a game in hand. The Gunners do not play a top-flight match until February 15, when they travel to face Leicester City, by which point Liverpool will have played their game in hand against Everton.

Between now and then, Arsenal will be aiming to overturn their 2-0 deficit against Newcastle in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final. "I only regret the last 25 minutes, we forgot to do what we should do, what we have done for 65, 70 minutes," City boss Pep Guardiola said.

"Of course it's a difficult game starting in this stadium, against that team in the first minutes, it's happened many times this season. "But after 10, 15 minutes I think we took the game and played really, really, really, really good and we are in it after 1-1.

"Of course at 3-1 they are comfortable, its more difficult.

"It's happened all season, we are giving away too many things."
