The Aston Villa and England striker played for Weston-super-Mare in our region as part of his journey to the top and we all have to start somewhere.

Perhaps his late goal to defeat The Netherlands in the Euros semi-final last year or the achievements of the Lionesses in winning the Euros and getting to the final of the Women's World Cup have helped inspire a legion of local players.

That’s why we are asking youth football teams in the area to send in details of their clubs for the age range 6-18 (or younger than 6 if you’d like). How many teams do you run? What are the age ranges?

You can highlight the achievements and history of your clubs and just what about them makes them a special place to develop youngsters both on and off the field. We'd love to get kids involved saying what it is about the club and football that inspires them.
