What Callum Hudson-Odoi gestured to Nuno about injury as Nottingham Forest dealt blow
Nottingham Forest have been dealt a potential injury concern during their Premier League clash with Southampton.
Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was forced off in the first half of the Reds’ match with the Saints at the City Ground. His departure came just a few minutes after he had made it 2-0 to the hosts.
Hudson-Odoi received treatment on the pitch after going down on the left flank. He then gingerly made his way off and looked a little uncomfortable as he was replaced by Jota Silva with 38 minutes gone.

The Forest goalscorer appeared to gesture to his groin as he chatted to head coach Nuno Espirito Santo before making his way down the tunnel. Hudson-Odoi’s goal came after Elliot Anderson had opened the scoring on the banks of the Trent.
The Reds had gone into today’s fixture unbeaten in seven games in the league but eager to get back to winning ways after their midweek 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Chris Wood’s opener had looked on course to clinch all three points against the table-toppers, only for Diogo Jota’s equaliser to leave the spoils shared.
It meant Forest couldn’t quite close the gap on Arne Slot’s men but victory today would put them level on points with second-placed Arsenal. Ahead of the game, Nuno was keen to stress that there would be no complacency from the hosts as they go from taking on the team at the top of the table to the one at the bottom.
