Cardiff Airport to operate 96 flights for the Six Nations
CARDIFF Airport will operate 96 flights for the Six Nations rugby tournament.
The airport will have flights to and from Cardiff, Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, and Rome.
This will allow rugby fans to travel to and from the Welsh capital for the tournament.
Passengers arriving at the airport can use the official taxi service, FlightLink Wales, or bus services.
A rail shuttle bus is also available to Rhoose Cardiff International Airport station, where passengers can catch a train to Cardiff city centre.
Transport for Wales has recently introduced a pay-as-you-go travel system at the airport station.
This allows passengers to tap in and out of their journeys using a contactless card or device.
Spencer Birns, CEO of the airport, said: "Our teams always enjoy welcoming rugby fans to Cardiff Airport for major events, including the Six Nations.
"It’s a great atmosphere for everyone and colleagues work extremely hard to provide a smooth experience for customers.
"Lots of planning work is carried out in conjunction with our partners to ensure safe and secure operations.
"Good luck Wales."
