Ethan Horvath 7

Came in for a rare league start in the absence of the injured Jak Alnwick. Didn't have much to do, saved a pretty routine header from Alfie Jones late on.

Andy Rinomhota 7

Pretty solid in defence but struggled a bit going forward. Does so well in one-v-one situations, although his positioning for crosses sometimes leaves a lot to be desired.

Will Fish 8

Pretty solid at the back as the only recognised defender playing in his proper position. Won his fair share in the air and excellent on the ground.

Perry Ng 8

Out of position again but did really well, battled for everything and chucked his body in front of a number of efforts. Sterling display.

Callum O'Dowda 8

Captained the side. Had a couple of decent link-ups with those ahead of him. Really came into his own in the second half. Sign up to our daily Cardiff City newsletter here.

Sivert Mannsverk 6

Had to do a lot of defending, with Cardiff not having the ball. Cardiff needed his legs later on and he brought a bit of bite, too.

Calum Chambers 6

Good to see him back in the side, just to break things up when you needed him to.

Cian Ashford 8 (star man)

The brightest attacker on the pitch. Caused issues on both flanks, beating defenders and running at pace. Set up a good Salech chance. Top display.

Callum Robinson 8

Played in the No.10 and had a few decent, early chances, one of which rippled the side-netting. But he was the man you wanted when the chance fell to him and he struck his volley brilliantly for the goal.

Chris Willock 6

Another who started brightly with some nice interplay and good crossing, but faded.

Yousef Salech 7

Cut a lonely figure at times but did well battling and holding the ball up. Had one good chance saved just before half time.

Isaak Davies (Willock 63) 7 - Another bright and encouraging outing from the forward. Pressed well and chased everything.

Alex Robertson (Robinson 63) 6 - Tough environment for him to come into in that midfield with Hull chasing the game. Did OK.

Anwar El Ghazi (Salech 78) 6 - Didn't make a huge impact after coming on.

Joel Bagan (Chambers 78) 6 - Fill in in the middle of the pitch and was steady enough.

Rubin Colwill (Ashford 85) NA
