Notts County and Motherwell have joined the race to sign Cardiff youngster Michael Reindorf on loan.

Reindorf has other suitors too, with Newport County and Bristol Rovers also said to be tracking him, report Football Insider.

The 19-year-old has made four first-team appearances this term - including the League Cup clash with Southampton. He has scored seven times in the Welsh League Cup. Sign up to our daily Cardiff City newsletter here.

Riza yesterday confirmed there would be exits from Cardiff City Stadium this month, stating "a couple" would be allowed to leave on temporary deals.

Cardiff announced on Friday evening that under-21s winger Baylin Johnson has joined National League South side Maidstone United on loan until the end of the campaign.

Elsewhere, Cardiff have also been boosted by Aaron Ramsey making a return to training this week, with the midfielder continuing his recovery from a hamstring injury which has kept him sidelined since September.

“It’s brilliant for Aaron,” said Riza. “He’s had a few upsets in respect of his injuries, so it’s nice to see him back on the pitch training, even a little bit earlier than I thought.

“Today was his first day back with the group. He’s been doing a lot of individual stuff with the physios and medical. He’s done a few technicals with the group and today, he did the technical and did his own stuff after that.

“Everyone knows what Aaron has done in his career, how much the club means to him and the experiences that he’s got. It’s nice for the players and the staff to have him back out there. I’m sure he’ll start to do more and more to get him back to playing,” he added.

“He’s got to complete full training first and he’ll be down to play some U21 minutes to make sure he can come through it ok. Hopefully after that, we can reintroduce him and he will be up for selection. When that will be, I don’t know.

“It’s important that we don’t rush him. Although he’s an important player and we want him back, he’s had a couple of issues in the past and we just need to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”

Ahead of the clash with Derby County on Saturday, Riza added that he hoped to have Ollie Tanner, Alex Robertson and Callum O'Dowda back available. The trio all missed the midweek draw with Millwall at The Den.

"We picked up some knocks so we had to make changes to the starting XI against Millwall. They're healing, shall we say," he said.

"Hopefully we should have everyone back."
