Cardiff City transfer bulletin as Riza hints at future plan for Mannsverk as club braced for busy end to window
Omer Riza is braced for a busy final few days of the transfer window, with Cardiff City hoping to add potentially two more players before Monday's deadline.
The Bluebirds have brought in Yousef Salech on a permanent deal and have also recruited Ajax midfielder Sivert Mannsverk on loan for the rest of the season.
The pair have bolstered the squad but Riza is still desperate to add a couple more before Monday's 11pm deadline. However, there are a couple of obstacles currently in the way.

"We are doing our work. The board have been very diligent, Michelle [McDonald, club secretary], Dawn [Williamson, head of HR], Paddy [Deboys, head of recruitment] have been brilliant," Riza said.
"Likewise with ourselves and our staff, we know what we want to do. Hopefully one or two more will enter before the window closes. There are a couple of little obstacles in the way, in respect of parent clubs and fixtures taking place, we are having to be a bit more patient.
"Anything now will be before the end of the window - hopefully we will have players coming in."
It's Riza's first transfer window as a manager and he admits he's relishing it. It's gone pretty seamlessly so far, however behind the scenes there has been the odd letdown which has served to frustrate. Sign up to our daily Cardiff City newsletter here.
But the manager did hint that there may even be scope to work something out with Ajax at the end of the season, if Mannsverk's loan goes well over the coming months, to make his move a little more permanent.
"I've really enjoyed it," Riza said of the window. "It's been quite smooth and I haven't really gotten flustered with anything. There have been disappointments along the way, you hear of things that should have happened and promises along the way, you can't control all those things, but as long as you've got options to replace them you're in a good place.
"At the moment I think we have brought in two very good players for the future of the club - granted one is on loan, but you never know what could happen further down the line if we finish the season strongly.
"Salech is in the building now and hopefully there is two more who will come in."
Asked if there was an option to buy Mannsverk, Riza added: "Not at the moment, no. But there could be."

While Cardiff last year relied on Erol Bulut's broad network of contacts, Riza, whose playing career saw him take in spells at clubs in both Turkey and the Netherlands, pulled out his own trump card when landing the promising Norwegian.
When asked how Cardiff captured the 22-year-old, Riza said: "I played with Maurice Steijn, who was the manager of Ajax. We played together at Ado Den Haag. He had good knowledge of the player and Paddy also had good knowledge of the player as well.
"For me, when you marry everything up together, I've watched the player a few times before and he's a good player, a good quality player, there is no doubt about that - a lot of clubs at this level would take Sivert without blinking."
There is likely to be one in, one out when it comes to that midfield. We understand Manolis Siopis is on the verge of joining Greek side Panathinaikos on a permanent deal, bringing an end to his 18 months in the Welsh capital.
While Riza didn't confirm Siopis's departure, he said: "All our players are good players and are doing well, there is always going to be interest from other clubs. There is interest from other clubs but we will see how that plays out, nothing solid that has happened.
"I don't want to talk about our players who are in the building who might potentially go out. All of these players, whether they leave the building because they potentially want to move back home or do something for their families, or we feel it's the right time for them. We want to make sure we do right by everybody, the club, the player, ourselves as a team, that's the only time a player will move on.
"Let's say Sio was the one to go, for instance, we have enough there to be able to continue. If Sio was to stay, he has done a great job and is brilliant around the place, has a great attitude and character. We will see how far along the line we go with that."
There are others who will leave, too. Kion Etete appears to be closing in on a move to Bolton, Notts County want Michael Reindorf and there is interest abroad, some of it from Greece, in Jamilu Collins.
On departure, Riza said: "There could be two or three players who could be going out on loan or permanently. I'm not at liberty to talk about them yet because they're not done. I think within the next day or two things will be become clearer."
