Carlos Alcaraz decision made as David Moyes names strong Everton team for FA Cup
Carlos Alcaraz has been named in Everton’s matchday squad for the first time. The summer arrival, a deadline day signing on loan from Flamengo, has been named on the bench for the Blues by David Moyes.
It means the 22-year-old could get his first taste of action in Royal Blue as Everton host old foe Bournemouth in the FA Cup fourth round. It would not be his first appearance at Goodison Park, however, after he made his Southampton debut in L4 in January 2023.
Moyes stressed in his pre-match press conference that the Premier League remained the priority but struggled to hide his desire for a cup run. And that approach has shone through in his line-up.

Moyes has made just one change, with Vitalii Mykolenko dropping out for Ashley Young, who looks set to start on the left of the defence. Youngsters Isaac Heath, Roman Dixon and Martin Sherif both make the bench.
Starting XI: Pickford, Mykolenko, Branthwaite, Tarkowski, O'Brien; Ndiaye, Gueye, Doucoure, Garner, Lindstrom; Beto
Bench: Virginia, Begovic, Keane, Harrison, Alcaraz, Iroegbunam, Sherif, Dixon, Heath
