As 2024 comes to a close, we're taking a look back at all the celebrities who have been spotted in Glasgow throughout the year.

From icons such as Sir Rod Stewart to Lorraine Kelly, several A-listers have paid a trip (or multiple) to the city.

Here are some of the celebs who have been seen in Glasgow throughout the year:

Sir Rod Stewart

Sir Rod Stewart at GLASCHU in Glasgow (Image: Supplied) One of the celebs who has visited Glasgow several times over the course of the year is Sir Rod Stewart.

The iconic rocker enjoyed a trip to GLASCHU in the city's Royal Exchange Square in March.

The 79-year-old was snapped up at the eatery donning a Celtic tie while enjoying a refreshing drink.

The legendary musician, who is a devoted Hoops fan, attended the Rangers v Celtic match at Parkhead rocking a Hoops badge and tie.

James McAvoy

James McAvoy at Max's Bar & Cantina (Image: Instagram) Another famous face who has been spotted across the city throughout 2024 is Glasgow's own James McAvoy.

The 45-year-old star has been pictured at several boozers in the city including Max's Bar & Cantina on Queen Street in September, Hielan Jessie in the East End in September as well, and the West Side Tavern in Partick in December.

The Drumchapel-born actor is known for his roles in films including Atonement, The Last King of Scotland, X-Men, and many more.

James McAvoy at the West Side Tavern (Image: Instagram) Meanwhile, in December, McAvoy was also photographed in Glasgow city centre as filming for his directorial debut took place.

The Hollywood star has been shooting scenes around the city for California Schemin' which charts the true story of how two rappers from Dundee pretended to be American and duped the record industry.

During the filming, the actor was pictured on Renfield Lane on December 3.

Lorraine Kelly

Lorraine and her mum, Anne, at The Ivy in Glasgow (Image: Instagram) TV star Lorraine Kelly has also been spotted visiting the city in 2024.

The Gorbals-born presenter, 65, enjoyed a meal at The Ivy in the city centre in May.

During her visit, she was joined by her mum Anne as she took a week away from her daytime show on ITV Lorraine.

Ally McCoist

Ally McCoist pictured with his pals at a Glasgow restaurant in September (Image: Instagram) Rangers legend Ally McCoist is another beloved celeb to be spotted in Glasgow this year.

The former Gers icon dined at Caprese-Don Costanzo on Woodside Crescent in the West End in September.

When he visited the family-run Italian eatery, the former striker was joined by several of his pals including comedian Andy Cameron, sports pundit Chick Young, ex-Gers midfielder Ian Durrant, former Ibrox assistant manager Archie Knox and Two Doors Down star Jonathan Watson.

McCoist posed outside the Dakota Hotel, which is located on West Regent Street in the city centre, with Gers and Tottenham Hotspur hero Richard Gough.

The pair visited the luxury four-star hotel to indulge in a delicious breakfast together

Lewis Capaldi

Lewis Capaldi at the University Cafe (Image: Facebook) Another well-known star who visited Glasgow in 2024 is Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi.

The 28-year-old, who is known for his tunes including Someone You Loved and Pointless, popped into the University Cafe on Byres Road in April.

The University Cafe in the city's West End (Image: Newsquest) The iconic cafe, which was first opened by Italian-born Pasquale Verrechia on September 1, 1918, has also been visited by other celebs this year including Andi Oliver and her daughter Miquita.

It was also praised by Kevin Bridges after he enjoyed one of their sweet treats.

The Clydebank-born comic shared a picture of an ice cream nougat from the eatery in December, praising it as being 'marvellous'.

Barry Keoghan

Barry Keoghan at Eusebi Deli (Image: Instagram) Hollywood actor Barry Keoghan also paid a visit to Glasgow earlier this year.

The 32-year-old Irish star, who is from Dublin, dined at Italian eatery Eusebi Deli in the West End back in June.

On top of all these famous faces, several other stars including Barry Ferguson, Grado from Two Doors Down, and Glen Powell have been pictured across Glasgow throughout the year.
