Celtic 'considering' Lennon Miller transfer raid after earlier bid booted out by Motherwell
Celtic are weighing up a Deadline Day raid on Motherwell for Lennon Miller, according to a report.
The Fir Park starlet sat out Sunday's 3-1 defeat to the Hoops with an ankle injury. But the Scottish Sun claims that the Premiership champions could try and lure the Scotland Under 21 International to Parkhead after seeing an earlier January bid rejected. Brendan Rodgers' priority is another striker to replace Kyogo, who departed for Rennes last week, as well as another option out wide despite securing Jota's return to the club,
But there is a risk they could miss out on Miller to England or Europe if they keep a watching brief. Udinese were keen to land the Motherwell starlet during the window, but they too saw a bid booted out after falling well short of the club's £4million valuation. But the window for the Steelmen to maximise Miller's value is closing fast, with his current deal set to run out in the summer of 2026.

And the Hoops could well try and tempt the Lanarkshire club into banking a substantial fee if they can offer close enough to 'Well's asking price. However, CEO Brian Caldwell said earlier this month that they are under to pressure to sell their prized asset and could well rebuff any approach on Monday.
He said: “To be bluntly truthful, we’ve had a couple of offers from a club who are miles away from that valuation of what we would deem Lennon Miller to be selling.
“We are not desperate to sell the player. We have always said from day one it’s got to be right for Lennon, it’s got to be right for the football club.
“We are not just going to accept any kind of offer for Lennon Miller. I believe he’s statistically in the top seven players in the world for his age and in terms of midfield so he’s an exceptional talent, we all know that.
“If and when Lennon does leave it will be right for us and it will be right for Lennon at the right time.”
