Celtic join Tammer Bany transfer 'swarm' as Kyogo successor search leads to Randers bargain
Celtic are reportedly among the clubs "swarming" around Randers FC forward Tammer Bany.
It's set to be a hectic end to the January window for the Hoops after Jota's return and Kyogo Furuhashi's exit kickstarted the window for the Premiership champions. The departure of the Japanese international for Stade Rennes has left the Hoops in dire need of another striker with Adam Idah and Johnny Kenny the two options for Brendan Rodgers at this stage.
And 21-year-old Bany - who can play as a centre-forward or as a playmaker - is said to be on the agenda. Tipsbladet report that clubs are "swarming" around the attacker with time ticking on the window with Celtic said to be "showing an interest" alongside FC Nantes, OH Leuven. Al Ahli from Egypt and Rakow Czestochowa. It's noted that Union Saint-Gilloise saw a £1.1m bid knocked back at the start of the month with the club looking to smash their club record sale of £2.2m.

While there have been no bids since the approach by USG, sporting director Soren Pedersen has left the door open to a potential departure during the Danish Superliga winter break. He said: "The plan is that Rasmus (Bertelsen, manager) will also have him available when we start up again.
"But it is clear that he is one of those who has been very active around, and there are still clubs that are interested. So, I would not say that I am 100 percent sure that he will be here when the window closes. The ambition is that he will stay."
