Celtic are a myth of a team and their fans know the REAL reason why Rangers spanked them all over Glasgow – Hotline
It's a divided Hotline this morning, just for a change. After conquering Celtic at last, Rangers fans think they're back, but punters across the city aren't so sure.
Let's start with Thursday's victors though as Peter Cooperwhite said: "Being a Rangers fan, good to see we're not scared to have a go now and then. McGregor's colours showed up yesterday when up against something bit stronger, he's just a mediocre player like Brown. If him and Brown were so good, how come teams didn't line up to sign them? If we can hold onto Raskin, big bonus."
Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, said: "I have to admit that the Celtic Hotliners were right. They said that all Rangers victories this season have been against bang average sides. Chalk up another one boys, as the opposition on Thursday wasn't good enough to qualify as bang average."

Andrew Mathieson had a word for Hotline regular Gordon Ashley said: "Let's look at a few quotes from the Old Firm game. Neil Lennon: 'Rangers were excellent and deserved the win.' Brendan Rodgers: 'Rangers were the better team and deserved their win.' Gordon Ashley: 'Celtic only played at 70 per cent.' Just for once Mr Ashley, try and be a REAL football fan and admit that Rangers only allowed Celtic to play at 70 per cent. Yes Celtic will still win the league but give credit where credit's due, and stop seeing everything through green tinted glasses."
And Craig Wilson, Kirkintilloch, thinks that result has been in the post for the Hoops. He said: "Celtic helped by the media, believed their own hype after beating a very poor Leipzig team who are on ZERO points in the Champions League that they were world beaters. We showed them up for exactly what they are. Nowhere near as good as they think they are. Press them high, getting in their faces and they can't handle it. Said it for years. Wish other teams would learn from it."
But now into the green corner. Liam Birney, Paisley, said: "I am already seeing the re-emergence of unfounded optimism from the Rangers fans and await the first 'we can still win this league' comment. The cold hard facts are that the Dead Rubber Cup is imaginary, and the game is meaningless in terms of silverware. However, enjoy your fleeting moment in the sun."
Lance Little, Erskine, said: "What a freak result that was. Nobody seen that coming. Rangers are back? Let's face it, We all would have been happy being 11 points and 20 plus goals clear at the halfway stage at the season. This result will have the Govan folk spouting that their team is back but in fact they are totally wrong. Our support will be annoyed at the result, but it happens every now and then so they won't be distraught. The points gap will be bigger and league over by April again. Enjoy your day in the sun the Rangers support as the rainy days will soon be back."
Not everyone in green and white was so defiant. Charles Buchanan said: "Celtic players should hang their heads in shame. After one of the worst displays I have ever seen from a Celtic team, it was mistake after mistake. Scales and Hatate should have been replaced at half time. Gave the ball away every time. No service from full-backs. Tippy tappy football got us nowhere. Terrible goals we lost. Rangers should have scored at least six. SCHOOL boy defending. Not one player got pass marks, Rangers didn't even have to be at their best but well done."
And now a word for the clowns who threw coins at Arne Engels and Brendan Rodgers. Dr Robert S Pender said: "Please, if you were next to the idiots who throw coins, please shop them. Apologies from decent Rangers fans. I can remember many times coins thrown and spitting as medical team walked down side of park at Celtic. So please no crowing from both sides, stop and grow up."
