Champions League tables 2023-24: Group standings, results and fixtures for matchday 3
The third matchday of the 2023-24 Champions League ended with Newcastle's first defeat of the group stage.
Borussia Dortmund ran out 1-0 winners at St James' Park on Wednesday while Paris Saint-Germain got the better of AC Milan in the other Group F games.
Manchester City scored twice late on in Switzerland to beat Young Boys and Celtic were twice pegged back in a 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid. Barcelona, Porto and RB Leipzig also helped themselves to wins.
It all kicked off on Tuesday evening as Bayern Munich managed to overcome Galatasaray in the battle of the Group A leaders, before Manchester United got off the mark by beating Copenhagen.
Arsenal then beat Sevilla in an increasingly tight Group B which also saw Lens draw with PSV.
Real Madrid beat Braga thanks in part to Jude Bellingham once again in the best of the other matches that night.
