Championship rivals set to seal loan deal for star heavily-linked with Middlesbrough
Louie Barry is set to seal a move to Championship rivals Hull City, after previous links to Middlesbrough this month.
The young Aston Villa forward was linked to Boro after his 18-month loan at League One play-off hopefuls Stockport County was ended early this month. Villa used their recall clause in the hope of testing him in the Championship in the second half of the season after he netted 15 goals in the first half of the season.
Though Barry is a player Boro have watched, he never understood to be a target this month as Boro prioritised other areas on the squad. A left-sided forward, it was on the other flank that Boro strengthened this month as they added Morgan Whittaker from Plymouth Argyle last month.

Barry was linked to numerous Championship clubs and it now appears that Hull City are the 21-year-old is set to undergo a medical, according to BBC Humberside. Villa's decision to recall Barry from his loan at Stockport ultimately created a gap in their squad which they filled with the addition of Micah Hamilton on loan from Boro.
The Man City academy graduate joined Boro in the summer but, amid limited first-team experience, has struggled to make the desired impact as yet on Teesside. Hamilton has joined County in the hope of boosting that experience and re-finding his confidence in the hope he can return in the summer to challenge for more game-time at Boro next term.
