Championship transfer scramble heats up for Aston Villa hot-shot wanted by Leeds United
Aston Villa will not be short of suitors for young goal machine Louie Barry with another Championship club entering the scramble for the 21-year-old.
Barry, who was recalled from his loan spell with League One promotion hopefuls Stockport last week, is set to be reallocated to a club further up the football pyramid.
That prospect has already caught the attention of Championship table-toppers Leeds United, as well as early front-runners Sunderland – both of whom are keen on the former West Brom trainee.

It has now emerged, according to the South London Press, that Millwall are also keen on a loan deal as they look to climb from mid-table back towards the play-off places.
The report says the Lions are in the market for a winger, amid speculation over Romain Esse who has been linked with Crystal Palace and Barry can play wide left or through the middle giving manager Alex Neil a source of goals and versatility. Barry has scored 25 in 46 matches for Stockport during two loan spells there and was part of the Hatters team which won promotion from League Two last term.
Speaking about Barry’s situation last week Unai Emery said: "He is really performing very well, last year, this year. He did pre-season [with Villa] and we want to introduce him again with us here and to take again another decision with him. But he has potential.
“We are happy with him. If he can help us, he will do it. But in case, his progression is better to go on loan and to play more and more and get minutes and confidence, playing at a higher level than he played, of course, is the plan with him."
