Championship trio interested in Stoke City summer target
Luke Cundle is attracting transfer interest from three of Stoke City’s Championship rivals.
The midfielder, who spent the second half of last term on loan at the bet365 Stadium, is claimed to have caught the eyes of Swansea, Millwall and Bristol City – having endured a tough first half of this campaign.
Cundle first came to Stoke in January 2023 when he followed Steven Schumacher from Plymouth Argyle and made a positive impression in 16 appearances for the Potters.

So positive in fact Stoke retained an interest in bringing him back to the club in the summer, albeit one that didn’t reach fruition with Stoke and Wolves some way apart in their valuations.
Another variable was the fact then Wolves boss Gary O’Neil wanted Cundle to remain at Molineux – even though he never picked the 22-year-old other than as an unused substitute on four occasions.
As a result Cundle has barely played this season and is now said to be back on the market, with the Championship trio all keen.
Cundle remains under contract with Wolves until the summer of 2026 and it remains to be seen whether Jon Walters is interested in trying to strike a fresh deal for the midfielder.
