WARRINGTON Wolves fans will always be happy to re-live the memories of THAT historic day at Wembley in August 2009.

This week, however, they will be able to do so with one of their Challenge Cup-winning heroes from the day – and a member of the beaten opposition side.

A live episode of the “Super League Raw” podcast is being filmed at the Blue Bell pub in Warrington Town centre on Tuesday, January 21, starting at 7pm and the first part of the episode will be re-living The Wire’s memorable Wembley win over Huddersfield Giants with “Super” Bennie Westwood and former Giants prop Eorl Crabtree.

The top prize is two hospitality tickets to The Wire’s Super League opener at Huddersfield Giants on February 16, while there are also two tickets to Toby King’s Testimonial match against Leigh Leopards on offer.

Other prizes include a Warrington Wolves shirt signed by the 2025 squad and a Wire baseball cap signed by flying winger Matty Ashton, with many more also up for grabs.

Tickets can be purchased on the door for £20, with proceeds going towards the Warrington Wolves Supporters Trust and Squadbuilder in their efforts to raise funds for the upcoming Academy tour of Australia.

Tickets can also be bought online with a 25 per cent discount by visiting patreon.com/SuperLeagueRaw and using the code LIVE21.
