Che Adams dropped for 'fatigue' as Scotland striker strives for starting berth return at Torino
Scotland striker Che Adams was left out of the Torino starting 11 at the weekend due to 'fatigue', according to Italian media.
The ex Southampton and Birmingham City forward was not at the forefront of Paolo Vanoli’s plans. as the Turin outfit beat AC Milan 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino, edging them up to 11th in the Serie A standings. Adams has been a big hit in Italy so far, bagging seven goals in 24 appearances for the Toro. However, the 28-year-old was shunned for the first time in eight games for the clash against the Rossoneri.
The hosts raced into a lead in the fifth minute when Milan defender Malick Thiaw scored an own goal. Former Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic then saw a 32nd-minute penalty saved by Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, with the US international later apologising for failing to hit the net.

AC Milan did level on 74 minutes through Tijjani Reijnders, but parity only lasted two minutes, with Torino edging back in front through their Lithuanian substitute Gvidas Gineitis. Adams remained an unused substitute as his teammates held on for all three points.
Torino are happy to have Adams, described by Vanoli last year as “an important player”. But reports in Italy, according to consiglifantacalcio.it, have revealed that the issue stems from fatigue. The Scot will now have to fight his way back into the starting having last scored against Cagliari a month ago.
Adams missed Scotland's crucial final two Nations League group wins against Croatia and Poland and will be desperate to get a run of games for Steve Clarke ahead of his nation's play-off clash with Greece.
