Chelsea have agreed to let recruitment analyst Kyle Macaulay reunite with Graham Potter at West Ham United, football.london understands. After just over two years at the club, Macaulay will join Potter in east London after the former Brighton manager was announced as Julen Lopetegui's replacement earlier this month.

Macaulay arrived at Chelsea with a high-standing after impressive work conducted at Swansea and Brighton. He also saw Paul Winstanley, now co-sporting director at Chelsea, join from the Seagulls.

Ben Roberts, Chelsea's head of global goalkeeping, will not be leaving, it has been confirmed to football.london. He was one of many to make switch to Stamford Bridge in September 2022, after Thomas Tuchel was replaced as Blues' boss, and is firmly seen as part of the club's future.

Along with players Marc Cucurella, Robert Sanchez, and Moises Caicedo, Chelsea completed a remarkable and expensive raid of Brighton in the first 18 months of the Clearlake Capital-Todd Boehly-led ownership consortium's time in charge. Many members of the backroom team brought over have now left, including Bruno Saltor, who managed one match as interim head coach. Winstanley is still in place as a key figure in their new-look sporting think-tank.

He is close with Roberts and Enzo Maresca, as well as co-sporting director Laurence Stewart. There are no plans to move on from Roberts, despite Chelsea's struggles to find a reliable No.1.

Chelsea have also brought in Sam Jewell from the south coast club. He is the director of global recruitment and has worked closely with Joe Shields, Winstanley and Stewart since his arrival over the summer.

Chelsea have not stood in the way of Macaulay, however, and a compensation package has already been agreed with West Ham. It is believed that Macaulay pushed to join Potter at the London Stadium with the final paperwork set to be completed.

Macaulay will leave with plenty of work left for Chelsea to do in the January transfer window. West Ham are also in need of fresh faces to improve Potter's newly-inherited squad.
