For Chelsea, the links to Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher refuse to go away ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Blues have Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen as their main two goalkeeper options at the moment, with the former being criticised heavily for his performances this season thus far. Sanchez was recently dropped from the Chelsea side for their Premier League win against West Ham United last week after a poor performance away at Manchester City the week prior.

Jorgensen came in against the Hammers and did well - while not being tested too much - which left many fans calling for the Dane to be Enzo Maresca's new No.1. Sanchez, however, returned to the Chelsea XI for their FA Cup defeat to Brighton on Saturday evening but this could just mean that the Spaniard is now the club's cup goalkeeper while Jorgensen has taken his spot in the Premier League team.

Either way, with not much evidence of Jorgensen in goal for Chelsea so far - there is speculation over bringing a new goalkeeper to the club in the summer. Thus far, though, Chelsea and Maresca have continued to back Sanchez despite the spotlight firmly on the Spain international.

Speculation over Kelleher and his future at Liverpool is rife with the Irish goalkeeper playing second fiddle to Alisson Becker throughout his time at Anfield. Whenever he has replaced Alisson, whether it be through injuries or being used in cup competitions, Kelleher has massively impressed for the Reds - and a widespread view of the 26-year-old being too good for second-choice has formed.

On top of this, Liverpool signed Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia last summer and the Georgian goalkeeper will move to Anfield at the end of the season. Kelleher's future on Merseyside is far from certain, with Newcastle United and Chelsea among the several clubs linked with a move for the Irishman.

However, as football.london reported in November - less than four months ago - Chelsea are not interested in the Liverpool goalkeeper. Things can change in football but unless there has been a drastic U-turn from Chelsea's perspective, then Kelleher moving to Stamford Bridge seems very unlikely.

The west Londoners are also very excited about the arrival of Mike Penders. The Blues agreed a deal to sign Penders from KRC Genk last summer and the Belgian goalkeeper will officially move to SW6 at the end of the 2024/25 season. Penders, 19, is seen as one of the top teenage goalkeeping talents in European football at the moment with Chelsea having big plans over his future.
