Chelsea could raise over £50m with three key transfers to help change club stance

Chelsea are not expecting to conduct too much in the way of incoming-related transfer business this month.

football.london understands the club's hierarchy are happy, as is Enzo Maresca, with the current crop of players. However, if the right opportunity presented itself during the January transfer window, then we could see something on the incoming front.

Also, if the Blues were to raise some funds elsewhere by allowing players to leave the club, then their stance could change somewhat. Three players who have been linked with exits this month are Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Axel Disasi.

Chilwell is yet to feature in the Premier League this season and has been told he can leave the club this month. The left-back, despite playing just 45 minutes (against Barrow in the Carabao Cup) all season-long, is unlikely to be short of suitors this window.

Chukwuemeka is in a similar situation to his teammate. The 21-year-old midfielder has not played in the Premier League but has been used in the UEFA Conference League on numerous occasions this season - but he, too, has been told he can leave the club.

Disasi, meanwhile, is in a slightly different situation to the aforementioned two. Chelsea are not actively looking to sell the Frenchman, who provides cover for multiple positions across the back-four, but equally would not be adverse to selling the defender should they receive an attractive offer for his signature.

According to values from football database Transfermarkt, Chelsea could generate over £50million by selling these players that have all been linked with moves away this month. Chukwuemeka is valued at £12.4million, while Disasi is £24.8million and Chilwell is at £16.5million.

If Chelsea can offload these three then we may well see the Blues go into the transfer market for one or two players before the end of the month. However, as it stands, there looks to be very little movement on the incoming front before the deadline next month.
