Enzo Maresca has a week on the training pitches before Chelsea are back in action. The Blues dropped to fourth in the Premier League after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace at the weekend, so they'll be keen to return to winning ways as soon as possible.

Before Chelsea have the chance to climb the English top-flight again, they must lock horns with Morecambe in the FA Cup third round. While Maresca puts his players through their paces at Cobham, higher-ups at Stamford Bridge will be exploring opportunities in the January transfer window.

The west Londoners have been thinly linked with a move for Dani Olmo, meanwhile, Cesare Casadei faces an uncertain future. So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up the latest Chelsea news and transfer gossip.

First club tables Olmo offer

According to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, as quoted by Sport and the Mirror, AC Milan have made an offer for Dani Olmo, who's currently free to leave Barcelona. Due to financial issues, the Spanish giants were only able to register the midfielder until December 31.

So, until the club adheres to La Liga spending rules, Olmo cannot be registered for the second half of the season. It's said that he has a clause in his contract – which runs until June 2030 – that allows him to leave the Camp Nou for free if they're unable to sign him up.

Corriere della Sera adds that Olmo wants to stay in Barcelona, but Milan have found a loophole. The report states that the Italian giants are prepared to match his wages on a six-month deal and allow him to return to Catalunya in the summer.

football.london says: "This sounds like an excellent deal for all parties if Barcelona can't scrape together the funds to register Dani Olmo this month. I wouldn't be opposed to Chelsea making a similar offer!"

West Ham eye Chelsea duo

According to The Telegraph, West Ham have shortlisted Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka as targets. The duo have struggled to force themselves into Enzo Maresca's side this season, casting doubt over their futures at Stamford Bridge.

The report states that the Hammers also want to sign a striker this month, with Evan Ferguson, Hwang Hee-chan and Latte Lath being explored as options. The Brighton striker was once heavily linked with an eye-watering move to Arsenal and Chelsea when he first burst onto the scene a year or so ago.

football.london says: "I think Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could leave Chelsea this month, but I'm not entirely sure he's what West Ham need at the moment! If Evan Ferguson is available, I'd like to see the Blues go for him. He's a different profile to Nicolas Jackson and a top talent."

Chelsea star green lights switch

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Cesare Casadei has agreed to join Torino. The report states that Chelsea want €20m (£16.6m), including add-ons and a buy-back clause, for the 21-year-old midfielder.

But the Italian outfit have only offered €12m (£10m) and a sell-on fee. Gianluca Di Marzio adds that the two clubs will resume talks over a potential transfer on Tuesday.

In the meantime, it's said that Casadei has 'said yes' to a move to Torino, granting them 'priority' should any other team enter the race for his signature.

football.london says: "I'd like to see Chelsea include a buy-back clause on any potential outgoing deal for Cesare Casadei. Ideally, he leaves on loan, but it is what it is. This type of transfer should've been arranged in the summer!"
