Chelsea double fixture changes confirmed as Premier League TV decision explained
It has been confirmed that two of Chelsea's games in the Premier League and in the FA Cup have been rescheduled.
In the league, the Blues' home fixture against Southampton was brought forward by a day and the kick-off time was also changed. It will now take place on Tuesday, February 25 at 8pm.
The change is to accommodate TNT Sports who, similarly to this midweek just gone, will be broadcasting all of the Premier League games that midweek in late-February. Meanwhile, the FA Cup tie with Brighton & Hove Albion on the south coast has been scheduled for Saturday, February 8 at 8pm.

That match will be available to view on ITV1 and ITVX. It takes just under two hours to travel to the AMEX Stadium from Stamford Bridge but the later kick-off ensures that supporters don't get stuck in traffic when travelling down from the capital.
In the fourth round of the FA Cup, there will be earlier kick-offs, which is a ploy to spread the TV coverage on that night - in order to keep viewers engaged on their channels for a longer period. February 8 will see ten games be played, with kick-off times at 12:15pm, 3pm, 5:45pm and 8pm.
Chelsea have two games left to play in the league against Manchester City and West Ham this month before their congested fixture list in February. Enzo Mareca's side will then play Brighton twice in the FA Cup and the Premier League in under a week.
The FA Cup tie will be on a Saturday while their league clash will take place on Friday, February 14. They will then head to the West Midlands to face Aston Villa on Saturday, February 22.
Three days later, the Blues will host relegation battlers Southampton at Stamford Bridge.
