Chelsea Fan View: Antonio to burst the Irons' bubble

Chelsea blogger Amy Christophers feels the Blues have it in them to hammer the Hammers and make up for being second best against them last season

Chelsea Fan View: Antonio to burst the Irons' bubble

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has overseen a largely successful pre-season tour of the U.S. and Europe, with Chelsea beating the likes of Liverpool and AC Milan and I can't wait for the opening game of the Premier League season against West Ham; let's get in there and burst their bubbles!!

The Italian has used different tactical formations during pre-season, from 4-2-4 to 4-3-3 but the former Italy and Juventus manager will now have to decide on his strongest team as the West Ham game draws ever closer.

Slaven Bilic's side did get the better of us last season so all eyes will be on the new style to see if we can get off to the best start possible

West Ham beat the Blues 2-1 at Upton Park in October before narrowly missing out on another win in the reverse fixture as a late Cesc Fabregas penalty sealed a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have made a couple of notable signings. Former Leicester running machine N'Golo Kante is one of them, while we have also splashed out £33million on Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Godfather doesn't have any fresh injury concerns to worry about as Kurt Zouma remains sidelined as he continues to regain full fitness following his knee injury earlier in the year.

Our midfield really needs to work on how they protect the defence, particularly down our right hand side, as this seems to be where a lot of the goals come from.

It is so vital we hammer them in our first game of the season as it will boost our confidence and we can get back where we belong!!

My score prediction for this match is 3-1 to the Blues - obviously
