Chelsea fans turn on Marcos Alonso after horror show against Wolves
Chelsea fans have highlighted the fickle nature of football by criticising Marcos Alonso following the Blues’ surprise 2-1 defeat at Wolves on Wednesday.
The fullback has been slated by Blues fans as Chelsea suffered their second loss in the three games and dropped down to the fourth in the Premier League table.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek had handed Maurizio Sarri a first-half lead, before Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota turned the game on its head with two goals in four minutes.

And fans have been left raging at the Spain fullback, who was caught out of position with both goals.
Many supporters are even urging Maurizio Sarri to drop the 27-year-old in favour of former Roma star Emerson.
One fan tweeted: “I have no words for Marcos Alonso!! Man has dropped a -10/10 performance. What a liability.”
While another commented: “Alonso with another shocker today, start Emerson.”
Another said: “Marcos Alonso is disappointing on so many levels. His positioning, crossing all need to improve. Gone back to being his old inconsistent self.”

Alonso had another shambolic performance. Sarri needs to give Emerson a run out after today. And I mean after Man City. Like 2 or 3 games in a row cus Alonso is not in the right place mentally right now

It is a far cry from his form in the past two seasons when he scored 13 goals as a more advanced wingback under previous boss Antonio Conte.
Alonso had carried that form into the beginning of his campaign after scoring a goal and contributing five assists in the first four games of the season. However, since then he has only two assists in 11 Premier League matches.
